A Family Favorite Recipe

This is a twist on a recipe from the Nov/Dec 1998 Quick Cooking.  It tastes great and is so quick and easy.  I always double it for our family and add garlic cheese toast and usually a salad.

Crab/Seafood Fettuccine — serves 4

1 package imitation crabmeat

1 can shrimp (or 1/4 lb fresh)

1 can mushroom stems and peices

1/2 t garlic powder (I usually add more, but we really like garlic)

1/4 cup butter/margarine

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (sometimes, I cheat and use the parmesan topping)

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup sour cream

1 8 oz. package cream cheese

1/8 t each salt and pepper

16 oz. cooked fettuccine/spegetti noodles, drained

In a large saucepan saute crab, shrimp, mushrooms, garlic powder and salt and pepper in butter for 3-5 minutes.  Stir in additional ingredients adding noodles last.  Cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until heated through.  Do not boil.   (I use my dutch oven since I double the recipe)
