Sure is Quiet Here

Our friends left this morning.

It sure is quiet here.  3 babies 2 and under and 9 other children total.  It was wonderful!!!!!!!!!

Funny, even those where Shane works (Christian radio) didn’t understand how fun it could be.  They thought we were crazy.  We might be, but we’ve laughed a lot this week, discussed out thoughts on about every subject under the sun (and found out we agree on most of them), had wonderful fellowship, stayed up late and generally had a great time getting to know each other. Actually, it was like we had always know each other.  Kellie and I got to go out for lunch yesterday and thrift shopping.  We had so much fun! Thanks Rick for watching all the children 🙂

I think the children came in to eat, have family worship and to use the restroom, other than that they were outside having a blast, climbing the pine tree, and playing everywhere.

Zubah’s heart rate was lower this morning than it has ever been.  Yippee!!! He was walking all over the house with a 25 ft. oxygen cord and a little walk behind toy.  What a wonderful little boy.

They would really like to move here, but it’s a hard decision.  If they don’t, we’ve decided that "R Family Campground" will open yearly when they come through to visit Kellie’s family.  Imagine 3 tents in the backyard. (Bubba was coughing one night and didn’t want to miss out) and our friends pop up in the driveway.

Yes, we got some pictures– although not enough. Here they are:

All of the children– isn’t it great?

I meant to take off my glasses– oh well!

Hang on brother, here we go– aren’t they cute?

And the "babies" Sweet Cheeks towered over both boys.  In fact, it took a couple of days for them to warm up to her.  Funny.

No pics of Shane and Rick– we forgot to get those last night and Shane had to work today.

  5. What a fun time y'all had!

I know exactly what you mean by fun and peace (strangely enough) with all the kids around. Although I only have 3 boys, I did keep 7 (out of the 9) of my friend Dixie's kids for a whole day. Man oh man, it was the BEST day! It was actually quiet and peaceful and just plain fun. No fighting because no one was bored. Everyone had someone to play with.

The only thing that was different is that I had to cook twice as much as usual. Hey, it's a small price to pay for happiness!

Good friends are a blessing indeed.
