In light of the election I decided to post something that struck me funny today.
We received a newsletter from our adoption agency every quarter. This quarter’s newsletter had a very interesting article:
Apparently Nebraska was one of the last states to pass a "safe-haven" law that allows parents to drop off their infant babies at hospitals or firestations without penalty. Well, Nebraska extended the law to "help" children up to the age of 19.
Since July when the law was passed, 14 children including 7 teens have been left by parents/caregivers in 6 families. So when your teen starts acting like a brat because you haven’t trained him/her, make a trip to Nebraska…
I’m not sure this is what the lawmakers had in mind.
