Sally Clarkson has hit another one out of the park. The book is 17 chapters of her teaching us how to own our life as we walk in the Spirit. It is divided into 5 different sections, designed to spur her readers to excellence.
Part 1 – Barriers to Owning Your Life: Don’t Settle for a Mediocre Life
Part 2 – Owning Your Vision: Mapping Your Life Purpose
Part 3 – Owning Your Life by Giving God Control: What Only He Can Do
Part 4 – Owning Your Life by Partnering with God: Attitudes and Actions That Transform
Part 5 – Owning Your Life by Loving Well: Creating a Lasting Legacy
Each section has several chapters and each chapter ends with an “own your part” where Mrs. Clarkson encourages her readers to delve deeper and put action to what was just read.
Mrs. Clarkson has a well flowing writing style that is easy to follow, but not soft hitting. So many of us long for a Titus 2 type mentor, Mrs. Clarkson is like that mentor in book form. Each chapter is filled with sound Biblical counsel on things such as finding freedom when we fall short, understanding the value of spiritual discernment, to defining the vision of our homes for the legacy we want to leave with our children. She encourages us to remember God grace over doctrine and laws of righteousness, but her approach is well balanced, sound, firm and gentle all at the same time. My book is marked up, circled, underlined, and dog-eared, which is my sign that it is a good book. This book would be good for individual Bible study, or group study.
