Who is Homeskoolmom?

As you can see, it’s not just me.  There are 6 of us!  Some would say that’s a large family, we say it’s perfect for us.

We are an unashamedly Christ-following, homeschooling, adoptive family.  This doesn’t mean we’re perfect; in fact, it means that we are far from perfect.  However, we are perfected through the blood of Christ that covers our sin because he called me while I was still a sinner.

We are a second generation homeschooling family.  We believe that it is our responsibility as Christians to train our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.  This also means we teach them about God’s love for them and God’s grace to them.   My husband and I still  madly in love with each other and are committed for LIFE–no matter what!

My husband is an elder in our church.  He loves to preach and teach and I love being His wife.

Our family’s theme verse is Phillipians 4:8

Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. 

Again, this means that we try to live our life this way… not that we are perfect and not that we are better than anyone else.  Just striving for the goal…

  Bear one another’s burdens is what we the church (people) should be about.  I’m bearing myself, for me, and hopefully to encourage others that God is with them through the fire and when we’re in Christ we can be refined as GOLD, clothes with His robe of righteousness no matter where we’ve been.

He makes beautiful things out of us 🙂

  2. Christine, So happy to connect with you! Glad our paths crossed at Five Minute Friday. We are a family of nine, I have been homeschooling for two decades, I have graduated six of my seven children. Four of mine were adopted from Poland! Blessings!
